I call him The Warrior Prince because he is not quite mature enough to be a King, but he is mature enough to do battle, as he did this morning. The sound of antlers raking brush from across the river got his attention and away he went charging through the water to the opposite bank. He disappeared into the thick brush.

A pause and then a clash of antlers that lasted only a few seconds. The sound of 8 hooves fading away meant the winner was declared in the first round. He returned a few minutes later victorious with a new battle wound, but he still had his girlfriend right behind him.
