Three days later I saw what I thought were four of the Druids bedded down in front of some aspen trees. The group included the young female that had seemed so intrigued by an intruder. A large grey wolf was sleeping between her and a young black wolf. When he rose later, I could see a large wound on his front left leg. It was our hero.

 

Somehow, he had managed to entice the three young Druids away from the most powerful pack in Yellowstone. Was this the beginning of a new pack or was the interloper asking for more trouble than he could handle?
