With temperatures in the single digits in the early morning hours and a fair amount of open water from Pebble Creek and Soda Butte Creek the meadows below Thunderer Mountain are frequently obscured with freezing mist. Two large bull moose were nibbling shrubs along the meandering creek bottom. I switched to a landscape lens to capture this iconic mountain and the majestic moose at its base.
