She disappeared under the Roosevelt barn for 2 ½ hours either napping or hunting mice. When she finally emerged, the sun brought warmth to this particularly cold January day. Rosie found a cozy location in front of
lichen-covered boulders where she gave herself a bath. She was there long enough for me to compose the photograph perfectly, showing her ability to blend into her surroundings with her camouflaged coat.
